DESCRIPTION:The Małopolska Researchers’ Night was organized on 27.09.2024 as a part of the The European Researchers’ Night in over 150 locations in the whole region of Poland. Many shows\, workshops\, and other activities were organized by nearly 2600 scientists from over 70 partner institutions\, including the Faculty of Physics\, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University\, and attracting around 65000 participants to laboratories and scientific spaces around the whole region.\nThe aMUSE project was presented in a popular-science lecture describing the activities of the JU group and a workshop on radiation in our daily live. DESCRIPTION:Every year\, a three-day training course for high school teachers and scientific journalists is organized by the INFN Frascati National Laboratory. \nIn the 2022 edition\, participants attended dedicated lectures on Modern Physics and were then organized in small working group for an hands-on training on specific experimental activities under the guidance of INFN researchers. For each working group\, the tutors provided an introductory seminar on the specific subject followed by an active guide to the laboratory measurements. \naMUSE researchers organized a working group on Particle Detection with Scintillating Materials. The innovative SiPM photosensors\, used in the Mu2e calorimeter\, coupled to plastic scintillators were used to study the dependence of the energy and time response from the impact position of the particles in the scintillator. \nBefore the laboratory measurements\, there were introductory seminars on calorimetry\, Mu2e and on the measurements planned for the hands-on activities: \nE.
